Help!!! Diet Meltdown!

I am in desperate need of a pep talk right now. I just ate 2 donuts, 1 chicken salad sandwich on a crossiant and 2 dove chocolate bars and now my Gram has just brought over banana bread which I absolutely love. I feel so guilty. I feel like I'm never going to be successful again at this and feel like I am at an all time low. I did great last night! I don't know what happened. I know what happened, I am anxious from being in so much pain from the shingles and I'm bored. I've been cooped up in my house for nearly three weeks. Today was my first outing in about three weeks. It was fun because I bought 2 new pair of shoes, but it also exhausted me. Help Me!!!! How do I get out of this ditch?

Hey there girl! It looks from your stats in your sig that you have come a very long way on your journey to a healthier weight. You've already lost 75lbs?! Congratulations!!! That is certainly something to be proud of!
And I don't know ANYONE that would be able to resist grandma's banana bread! That certainly doesn't make you weak - that makes you human. And there's no need to feel guilty about being human.
Boredom is the biggest diet killer out there. If you've been sick, and you're anxious and in pain and bored, then OF COURSE you're going to seek comfort in food! I mean, let's be honest here - if we didn't have emotional attachments to food, most of us wouldn't be on this board in the first place, right? I know that I find comfort in "comfort foods," I seek solace in chocolate, and I get those Salty/Sweet PMS craving every month! I'm not condoning any of this, just acknowledging that it's out there.
So hang in there, and try not to be too hard on yourself! Have you read "The Cheater's Diet?" It basically suggests that we should treat our dieting like a job - no one wants to work 24/7. We need weekends off, holidays, vacations, personal days. I've found that this helps my overall mentality greatly. I don't know how you've been eating before today, but if this is just one day of making less healthy choices, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Those of us on this board are going to be here for a while - a day off here and there won't set you back too much.
I know you can do it - you've come so far already! I bet you feel better now than you did 75lbs ago, at least until recently (sorry to hear about the shingles). I bet your clothes fit you better, you've probably found a shirt or pants in your closet that fit you again, people have noticed the difference, right? Right now your energy and focus should be on getting well, and if you don't have energy for both that and minding what you eat, then focus on getting well first.
Take care of yourself!!! I'm sending you virtual hugs (((hug)))! Tomorrow is a new day - you'll get back on the diet train, I'm sure.

Jena,
See, you already have a plan! You're going to be just fine.
I never go out in public without a bra, either. I feel strange just walking to my front gate in just a t-shirt, so if I couldn't wear a bra I'd stay home too. Hopefully you'll heal quickly, so you can start getting out and about again.
Shingles can be pretty scary for adults. I'm glad the meds they gave you are working. Don't push yourself too hard (it sounds like you're being careful), and you'll soon be right back on track.
=)

This is just a small setback.. you already lost a lot of weight and even with everything going on, you're still at 75 lbs lost.. that's a great achievement. I am
