This is stolen from SJ's post LOL..

"You are all such awesome women - great wives, Moms, daughters, friends. I can tell from your posts that all of you so deserve to be well taken care of. I don't know if this idea will help anyone, but I think if you take a few minutes to make a list 'Why I deserve to take care of me', you'll have a little backup when chocolate seems the only answer" SJ

We can start an online list here.. anyone interested?

This just about makes me cry. I spent at least 15 years listening to a father who constantly put me down about everything I ate, did, said, etc. I still have trouble feeling like I deserve anything I've been blessed with in my life. I always try to tell myself that I'm worth something. I don't know that I could even try if it wasn't for DH in my life. Sorry to ramble like that but when I got to really thinking about the question everything just sort of flooded back to me. So anyway, my reason that I deserve to take care of me

Mary,
I am so excited to see this...

Here is one of my reasons:

I deserve to take care of me because I would do just about anything for the people I love...and how can I keep doing that if I'm not in great shape?

Because I like to do nice things to my family (at least I think that they think it's nice LOL).. so it's about time that I do something nice for me :)

I don't just deserve to take care of myself, I'm obligated, because no one can do it for me. I have too much to do, to many committments, and not enough free time to be weighed down (literally and figuratively) by not taking care of myself.
