Hi I'm Mina and I'm currently suffering information overload. I live in PG county Maryland and I have 100 pounds to lose. I'd like to lose about 80 of it in a year. Here's hoping. Anyway, I've been scouring the web, trying to find weightloss websites that interest me and will help keep me motivated. I'm not really certain what the correct fit for me is. I know I need a place to vent. A place to interact with others and ANYTHING that will keep me accountable. I've been a member of IVillage for a long time, but I hadn't been active. Upon revisiting, I like what I see. Could this be the place for me?
Sidebar: Considering how much I pay for the web and how much I hate to pay online, can any of the premium users tell me why you opted to pay for the Plus boards? Is it worth it? I mean if this becomes my cyber home, I'll definitely look into it.

LOL Welcome aboard. I can't speak to the value of being a paying member because I'm not, but I do know that this is a great place and you will be both accepted and helped with advice and encouragement whenever you need it. Good luck! Annie

Post Number Three!
I'm feeling pretty groovy about being here. Thanks for responding, ladies. I guess it will be time to get on to my fat. lol. I was looking at all the graphics you guys have. I guess that comes with the paid membership. I can't help wondering why such a large site charges for what other sites give for free. Oh well, no matter. It's the interaction that counts. I'm off to get started.
Welcome to the board Mina!! This is a great please for motivation, support
Hi Mina!
I agree, there is SOOO much weight loss information available, you'd think no one could possibly be a single pound above goal without a huge effort to stay that way. Huh? The best tip that I can give you is to try things out... this board is a fountain of ideas and experience!... and if it doesn't work for you, try another plan... just keeping at it is the main trick. For me, drinking lots of water, watching saturated fats & sodium especially carefully and the dreaded exercise seem to be the key.
Staying motivated and on plan is another things altogether. This board is helpful. Success, when it comes, is helpful. A swift self-kick in the rear every now and then is helpful.
I got the paid membership after a few months of visiting this board without one, mainly to be able to read the posts in less time. I have to confess, the tickers are great fun, too! The paid membership is certainly not necessary, but it's worth it to me.
Good luck, and hope to hear much more from you!
Welcome to the board!
Well hello there Mina!
