I am so proud of me!

I know that there is all this drama going on up here, but I am going to just keep my little nose out of it because I am really good at writing something and meaning something completely differant, which can be taken badly by one or both parties, so I'm going to write some things from this week/weekend that I am really excited about instead.
I am officially over my cold, so I went for my walk with the dogs yesterday and the day before, and it felt really good, even though it was cold again yesterday, it was down in the 60's, that was unpleasant at first, but when I started getting hot as we where hitting the hill I was glad it was cold out there. I am planning on going again tonight, and we'll see about tomorrow. I don't get to spend the holiday with the family, but I've been invited to several friends' homes.
I am also starting to do better with this whole cooking thing. I am allowed to be UNsupervised in the kitchen again, since there hasn't been a fire in months, so I'm starting to get creative. I find a recipe I like, start to strip it down to the bare minimum, then start adding the things I think will go well in it, so far I've had some really good successes, and they are all healthy foods. So that's a double wammy! Mark is really proud of me, he's a chef-as I've posted before- and even he likes what I've been turning out.
In even better news, Mark proposed! It was really sweet, and completely unexpected. I didn't think anyone in this town could keep a secret, but apparently I was wrong, as they all knew before I did. He said he was going to wait until Christmas, but just couldn't wait that long, he'd already bought the ring and everything!
So it's Wednesday, I'm just hoping that nothing is going to ruin my week, because I'm just floating here.

awwwwwww so sweet, congrats on the proposal. I am assuming you said yes as you are so happy and all.

Congrats too on the successes in cooking. You have a right to be proud.

I wish you the best of luck in your week

You are so right to be proud of yourself. The cooking thing is hard for me - I got some of my exercise today laughing when people asked if I were cooking Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow....I admire your bravery in the kitchen. I know when I do cook I feel more in control of what goes in the food.

Congratulations on your engagement - proud, excited, happy - what a great combination!
