I hear you on the teethbrushing thing. It's taken me years to get to the point of doing it every night, and even now I occasionally miss a night. What got me to step up and toe the line was having gum surgery last year, with stitches and all. My gums are so receded now that there are spaces between the tops of some of my teeth. They are much more sensitive to cold temperatures also. So...brush your teeth!
My goals for this week are:
1. Stick to my plan every day.
2. Exercise for at least 15 minutes at least three times this week. I have those "Walk Away the Pounds" tapes so I'm going to start at the beginning with one mile.
Okay, I am seriously SICK with the respiratory flu (ugh, ladies, get those flu shots -- trust me, this stinks). So my goals are:
1. take care of myself for once, drink a lot, rest and don't worry so much about the house, etc., so I can get better and start my weightloss plan ASAP
I really wanted to think about this . . . I'm not very good at setting short term goals . . . I always go for the long term ones, which I supose is why I often fail.
We did foster to adopt (we're in FL) and we started in March 2004 is when we got licensed. We got our DS # 1 at 4 days old, right from the hospital nursery and his adoption was finalized when he was 6 months old and he's now 2 1/2 years old. Our newest addition DS # 2, we got at 12 days old from the shelter and he'll be 10 months old on Sunday. They bring so much joy to our lives and we couldn't love them anymore than we do now because they get so much love from us and our families.
Congratulations on your adoptions, and I'm so glad you got them young, my family has a mixed history with adoption, 2 went fairly well, the 3rd one did not, very hard, very sad. I can't have kids so Mark and I have talked about adoption, but we would be going through the Indian Reservation, because they are so hard to find homes for because you cannot adopt outside of the tribe, and since I'm moving to Texas, I'll be closer. It's a long term goal, as we just got engaged, but we've been talking about it for a while. Are you planning on adopting any more?

Now that it's typed out, hopefully I stick to it!

<Well my goals are similar to Mary's since I am doing the calendar/sticker thing too so:
1. exercise at least 6 days this week = 6 star stickers on my calendar
2. eat right (according to my guidelines too lengthy to go into now) at least 6 days this week = 6 smiley face stickers on my calendar.
Jen
I'm on the calendar/sticker plan this week too.
7 Exercise stickers
5 Food stickers
and at least half of the presents needed bought and wrapped!
Good Luck everyone!

Hi Annie,
Thank you!

Congrats on your adoptions too!!!
