Ok, so we usually go to McDonalds 3-4x a month with the kids..

The last couple of times we were there , we were the only ones in the play area, so I got brave and went up into the play area w/ the kids (DH usually does cause he only weighs about 165ish). I acutally had quite a bit of fun, I couldn't believe that I fit up there, and by the time we left, i was sweating and my knees hurt from crawling in the hard plastic tubes.... The only problem I had was when I slid down the slide, I got a little stuck (not becasue of my size, but i was so sweaty that my butt was sticking to the plastic. LOL... We had a great time.

Management didn't say anything??? Here they would have thrown us out! When I was younger my brother would (he was 26 or so at the time) play with me and his dd on the playgrounds but by the time I had DD12 they wouldnt' let adults go on them anymore. They actually ran me and some of my friends out of the area on count of getting on there even with the kids!! (we were 17/18 ish when I had her) and I WAS SKINNY and they still wouldn't let me on there with her! I have wanted to go in there with DD6 and DS2 when they were younger but didn't dare cuz of my size since they ran me off when DD12 was little.

Sara,
I think they make those things the size they are for the average parent. LOL When my daughter was little she used to get stuck up there and I'd have to go after her. I thought they always smelled like pee and got in the habit of always making sure my kids wore socks and washed their hands afterwards. Ick! I don't know if management there wants adults to play along, but at Chuck E. Cheese it's the same kind of equipment and they encourage you to go up.

Good going on the extra exercise!

Hee! That sounds like fun, Sara. Congrats on finding a workout in an unexpected place. I want to rent some kids and try it myself, lol.

Way to go!!

They don't allow adults in the children's area here.. but I think mainly because they're afraid

I went to visit a friend for a week shortly before Thanksgiving and we all went out to Chik-fil-A one night.

Sara, One of the networks did a piece on the morning news (Today Show?) about some McDonalds having full gyms for kids--they even had a track! I think what they need to do is have a play place for the kids and a gym for the adults! Annie

It's like this the real work out is working there ruinning around filling orders. The play area was not for adults but if we saw an adult in the toys which was very rare.. the maintence man would talk to them..thought i would tell you
