New Year Challenge
| Thu, 12-07-2006 - 7:43am |
We want to start 2007 with a big bang and we need a new challenge. I also expect that we'll see a lot of new comers to the board and they will be interested in joining the challenge.
I suggest we have a short type challenge (4-6 weeks) so that everybody is still focused and doesn't lose interest.. at the same time, 4-6 is long enough to show results.
Give me your ideas! Everybody!!

I'm all out of ideas, but I'm up for any challenge!!!

I am definitely up for a New year Challenge and I especially like the 4 - 6 week time for the challenge. What challenges have you done in the past? I would love to think of something if I can. I am still home from work sick, so I have some time to read and post. Once i am back to work, things get a bit harried around here!

I feel like a posting fiend lately - lol
but how about this - 7 for 2007
the challenge
Drink 7 glasses of water everyday
Minimum 7 minutes exercise 7 days a week
Cut a minimum of 700 calories from diet each week (that would only be a soda a day)
then 4 more "7" ideas to reach the ultimate ultimate goal:
7% weight loss in 7 weeks...
I like the 7/7/7 idea.

That sounds like a great idea. How about adding 7 positive affirmations a week. That would be one positive thing, at least, said to yourself each day during the challenge. I once had a roommate who encouraged me to look in the mirror each day and say something positive about myself. It really worked to make me feel pretty good and motivated me on my weight loss mission.

NEAT IDEA!!

I'm singularly fond of the number seven, so I like the 7/7/7/7 idea.
Thank you all for your great ideas!!
One thing we also need is to keep the challenge simple. We did a lot of challenges this past year and we noticed that when we have to track tons of things in the same challenge, we usually stop doing
