Unfortunately, I'm back off track

I had been doing well, then I took a new job and now I sit all day...its salaried, so I do tons of overtime...and I haven't seen the gym in months. I gained back the 40 lbs I lost...Im so upset because I promised never to be here again...Im here to start over...heal and get back on track. My boyfriend and I have been together a year and unfortunately, we enable each other...though im still larger than him. I'm 23 years old and would like to reach my goal by this time next year, when I'm 24.

I have two weddings to attend next june...a lot of my high school friends will be at one, and my family at the other, so I really need to slim down. Im back up to 250 lbs...so my goal is to be under 200 by June...that's 10lbs/month. I haven't been under 200 since 7th grade. I know I can do it...I just need some support.

Thanks...

255/250/199 first goal

Aw, I'm sorry you've gained back your weight. Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt! If I'd been able to keep off all the weight I've ever lost, I'd be skinny by now, lol.

You can do it. It's half the battle that you're here and ready to start over. Even if you can't make it to the gym all the time, try to keep control of your portion sizes. This has been the biggest eye opener to me. I really didn't realize how much I was overeating until I started paying attention. That will help a lot.

Good luck, and I look forward to reading more from you.

You'll find plenty of support here!

I truly feel for you (I'm at a desk for way too long most days as well). I also used to (and still do sometimes, drat!) work through my lunch hour, munching between tasks. Do you take a break? Can you walk for part of your lunch hour? I find this is the best exercise fit for me on many days... too embarrassed still to face the on-campus gym most days, so I walk the parking garage unless it's a really nice day.

They say it takes a month to build a habit. You're young, and a month's effort to build healthy habits at this point can pay off for a long, long time. Although it can be a real b*tch getting to that point, as you know <>. Good luck to you, and your boyfriend!

Yep, been there too, so frustrating!!! 10 pounds a month is a pretty hardcore goal. I know you can do it though, you will need help and committment. We are here to help, :) Just be committed. The walk during lunch is what I do too. If I don't have time, I have my thigh master at work and use it while I'm working thru lunch. If I take a smoke break or something, I walk outside the whole time I'm smoking - just to keep moving.

Also, have you spoken to your doctor? I use phentermine (sp?) with great success. I see my doctor every few weeks, to get a B12 shot, the phen and weigh in and get some advice to keep going. They put me on a 1000 cal diet (which is really really very little) but with the phen, it's definitely do-able. I got off sugar one hundred percent and use Splenda for everything, and I know I have mentioned this before, but I am an extreme believer that it has helped me: EVERY where I walk, I do it with my stomach sucked in. At first it was a chore to remember to do it, but now it's habit, It's straightened my posture, strengthened my back and has taken inches off my waist :)

these are some suggestions of what I have done, of course you will find your own way, but they are ideas for you to consider :)

GOOD LUCK! You are on your way and we are here for you

*hugs*

I am sorry to hear you gained the weight back. But you are here again and you will lose it again, only this time for good. I wish you the best of luck!!
