Some food help?

Okay. I have a couple of things I could use suggestions on. Yet again. First off, is what is the healthiest lunch meat to buy? I have noticed that the stuff I buy is high in sodium. I have Lean Cuisines once or twice a day. And I know that this is just to much sodium during the day. Would buying from the deli make any difference?
Second thing is I still have a hard time with breakfast. I don't like cereal. I don't like oatmeal, so I have actually been having a turkey sandwhich in the morning with some green leaf lettuce on it! What are some suggestions for breakfast? I know there probably isn't anything REALLY wrong with me eating a sandwhich in the morning....but, I dunno! Any suggestions would be helpful and wonderful! Thanks!

Hi Tami,

I expect you'll find the Lean Cuisines

Hi Tami!

I have the deli counter thin-slice my turkey breast, lean roast beef and occasional turkey pastrami. Then I only use two ounces at a time. i'm not sure of the sodium content, but I'm sure it's lower than a Lean Cuisine or even a Healthy Choice meal.

I think a turkey sandwich is an excellent breakfast! I've had that on more than one occasion. I'm not a big morning cereal lover either, but I occasionally (just for variety) make 1/2 c. cooked oatmeal with cinnamon and dried cranberries; that's not bad. I've also put 1/2 c. applesauce instead of cranberries, that's good too. A good non-cereal breakfast is a slice of whole wheat toast with reduced fat peanut butter, half a banana and 6 oz. fat-free yogurt. That's my breakfast of choice lately.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I think a turkey sandwich is a great choice for breakfast. I usually go for similar things myself.. whole wheat bread with protein. I usually go for home-made chicken breast (left-overs from dinner LOL). Or an omelet with a bit of beef (again beef leftover form dinner). I am not a big cereal eater myself either. I sometimes go for yogurt and fruit, but to tell you the truth, it doesn't curb my hunger as much as the sandwich does. With the sandwich I can go for a lot longer without being hungry.

As already mentioned before, try different things and see what is bets for you.
