Hi all, new here!

Hi Everyone,
I'm Amy, 34 yrs old. I'm a SAHM to two beautiful little girls, Emily will be 5 Jan 24th & Olivia will be one on Jan 1st. We live in NC with their Daddy.
I'm in desperate need of support & motivation to lose weight. I've been overweight all my life... but I am currently at the heaviest I've ever been. And now I see my almost 5

Welcome :) The gals here are absolutely great :)
There are a lot of motivational threads, to get you started and of course we are here for specific issues :) I'm so glad you joined us! I too had well over 150 to lose - actually to reach my goal weight it was 179. (The size of a full grown man) VERY depressing.. But now I have only my niece left to lose - lol (she wieghs 100 and is 14). And I am getting there. Believe me - if I can do it, so can you! cause I was unmotivated for most of my life - up and down the yo-yo. Never changing for life, only trying new fad diets. (Been on them all, I think)
This is now a life change for me that I have been doing for a year. - Come with me :) It's an amazing place to be!
*hugs*

Hello and welcome!!
I'm pretty new to this board too & I think you'll really like it. Everyone's really supportive and helpful.
For motivation, I think the absolute best thought for you is those two beautiful little girls of yours. Just think about being the best mommy you can be. Weight loss means more energy to play with them and better health so they'll have their mommy around for a long, long time. Think how terrible it would be for them to lose you.
We all know what you're going through with trying to lose. Try to get into a routine for exercising. Sticking with the routine is toughest over the first 2-3 weeks. Getting your older daughter involved will help boost your motivation to stick with it and help her develop healthy habits from an early age. Every time you want to give up, just think of your girls.
For days when it's really crazy, just remind yourself that ANYTHING, even just 10 minutes of marching in place, is better than doing nothing. Your girls are worth the effort and so are you.
Best wishes and keep it up!
Welcome aboard Amy, we're glad you're joining us..
OMG look at your girls.. they look soooo adorable!! It's so nice of your daughter to 'exercise' with you LOL. I think it can do you both a great benefit.. you will be motivated more to exercise.. and you'll be teaching your daugher great habits. She will start learning early that exercise is a part of her life (and a FUN part too). And both of you will be sharing a fun activity together.. who can beat that?
Starting to exercise is usually the hardest part for me. And if I can force myself to actually start, I just keep going. So it's all about tricking myself to just start something.
How are you planning to start? Following any specific plan?
Good luck!! Post often!
