I love this, Misha: "Remind myself that "sociable" eating is ridiculous. If it would be rude to refuse, get creative in the food-disposal department." I can just see a puzzled hostess, wondering why there are Christmas cookies in the ficus tree. ;-) Seriously though, it's a good goal so good luck!
My goals:
1. Make SURE that I'm drinking at least 64 oz. of pure water every day. That's two of the bottles I keep refilling for myself. I almost never drink a whole bottle at a time and I often add more when its half full, so goodness only knows how much I'm actually drinking.
2. Follow the suggestions on the Boosting the Metabolism article that I posted, especially the exercise ones.
3. Start doing the "Walk Away the Pounds" tapes; ugh...that's been a goal of mine for weeks! But I'm going to make sure this time that I do it at least once.
2. Eat enough salt for the water to stay in my body.
3. Stop using Christmas goodies to try and stop myself from missing my family (after 18 years here in Maryland, they moved to Indiana a few months ago). Must remember that sugar cookies are not secret portal.

I've been searching for the secret portal too...but I thought it was chocolate?
