Hi everyone I'm new

Hi everyone, my name is Rochelle, I was a member here awhile back. I don't know if some of you guys would remember me or not. I went to an appointment today and got weighed and I am now 250lbs. So I need to lose 120lbs. I don't have a diet plan or exercise plan in mind. I do suffer from depression which make it hard because when I'm down I tend to eat. I want to feel better for myself so I can look good next year. I can't wait to lose weight and get heaps advice from you guys. Plus a kick in the butt when I need it most.

Hi Rochelle!!! Welcome aboard!! I'm new here as well......I also weigh 250. I need to lose 100 pounds and I'll be looking HOT!!!! :-) I am going to go on a low carlorie diet (1200-1300 cal per day) and joining curves. My diet is starting on December 26. The ladies here are great and give great encouragement!

Welcome, Rochelle. Just read the board; there are lots of ideas for diet plans, exercise and everything else. Just take it one day at a time and do the best you can for that day. Pretty soon, the days begin to accumulate and you're chugging along!

Hi Rochelle! I'm new to the board too. I know what you mean about eating when your depressed because I suffer from major depression and when I'm sad I eat. Right now I weigh 277 and for my first goal, I would like to loose 20 lbs and then continue from there. DH and I were ttc and have been unsuccessful so that's one of the reasons I would like to loose weight. I want my miracle baby! So good luck to you!

Are you starting right now? Or waiting for the new year? Even if you're waiting for the new year, I think starting journaling now would be a great idea. It can give you insight on what you're eating, when, and why. And sometimes it stops you from eating something that you don't want to put it down. Also try to keep track of the physical activity you're doing. Knowing where you are can give you a start point to know where you're going and to set appropriate goals. You can also take advantages of the challenges we have here. We'll be starting the water war soon..
