Hello all! My name is Cindy and I am 310 pounds. I need to lose weight because I know if I don't I will have many health problems. My problem is that just recently I got down to 279 and then I jumped back and forth from 300 to 279 and I couldn't keep off the weight. I was swimming a mile 4 days a week and I felt good. anyway I just really need the support of others to help me to eat better and keep the weight off instead of jumping back and forth. Any suggestions would help me immensly. Just as a background I have two wonderful children A DD who is almost 5 and a DS who is 2. I am married and I am an at home mom. I just finished my associates degree and I will continue on with my Bachelors when My children are in school. I do want to have more kids but I would like to concentrate on losing weight first. Thanks in advance for any support and help you can give me. I think that I will do better when I have the support to lose it where as I haven't had much support around here. (I love my DH but every time i tell him I need to lose weight he says I love you just the way you are.) ANyway that is a whole other soap box and my post is getting really long. So here goes with the weight loss and I hope to be able to lose it and keep it off with the help of you wonderful posters!

Welcome, Cindy! I've decided that losing all my weight is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done, but it will be so worth it in the end. You are smart to do it before real health problems start cropping up.

There is wonderful support here, just start reading! Good luck to you and I look forward to posting with you.

Welcome Cindy. I can completely relate to the up and down roller coaster. The only thing that I know to be true for me is that as soon as I slack on exercise, I slip on diet too and up goes the scale. Good luck! I look forward to getting to know you! Annie

Hi Cindy, I'm Susan and I'm new too. I know what you mean about the ups and downs, I have been there too. Right now I am at 277lbs and for my first goal, I would like to loose 20-25 lbs. So, I look forward to getting to know you and I wish you all the luck!

Hi and welcome
I am too new here. I am 273 lbs, and I hate it. I have a loving husband and a 10 yr old daughter. He too, says that if I am happy with the way I look then ok, but if not them I need to decide on my own what I want to do, but the loves me just the way I am. I have pictures when I was a size 12 (before I was married though) and now I were a size 24 and seems that it is going to a 26. Oh no, I just can't do it, I have no inner power, I just don't. My dr. just prescribed Xenical for me to take, she said it is very very important for me to take it ASAP, so I going to purchase it after xmas since it is very expensive.

Good Luck

Hi, Cindy!
Congratulations on the weight you have lost already!
My name is Barbara. I can relate to where you are in your journey. You see, I was 297 lbs. I have lost 135 lbs. It took me 3 years. I have kept it off for 5 years. Your posting caught my eye because your reason for starting to lose weight is the same as mine. I was healthy but I weighed too much. You are absolutely right. You don't have health problems now, but if you don't lose weight you will. Your decision to lose weight now is the smartest thing you could do.
I know what your thinking, I must have some great advice because I have lost all that weight. I do.
What do you want to know about? I could write all day about my weight loss journey, but I don't think that's what you're looking for. Any help or advice you need, please ask. I'm better with specific questions!
