Christmas Invitation

For everyone who'll be celebrating Chrismas - and even for those who aren't - I'm issuing an invitation.

Sometime on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, join me for a walk. Invite someone in your family you haven't seen for a while, and catch up on their news. Invite someone new to your family and get to know them. Invite the person you most love and hold hands. Gather your whole family and stat a new tradition. Invite just you and enjoy leaving the bedlam behind for 20 minutes.

Walk your Dog...walk your Cat... If its cold and snowy where you are, bundle up and enjoy the crunch of snow under your feet. If its mild, revel in the unseasonable weather. Walk early in the morning and enjoy the sunrise. Walk at twilight and enjoy the sunset. Walk at night and admire your neighbors Christmas lights.

Walk in your neighborhood...drive to someone else's and walr around and admire their lights...walk on the track at the local high school...walk around the mall and be thankful you're walking not shopping!

Walk as a gift to all the wonderful women who post on this board. Walk as a gift to yourself.

If you're so inclined, say a little prayer for peace in our troubled world.

Wishing you all a holiday filled with joy.

SJ,

What a wonderful and timely suggestion! My niece and I always do this on Thanksgiving, but I think this year I'll try to work it in for Christmas! I accept your invitation!

I think this is a great idea, we've got pretty mild weather forecasted so I am looking forward to a walk with DH and DS!

Wonderful idea! I'll be walking... and you'll be in my thoughts, with wishes that you're having a great holiday. Thanks so much for all the support and perspective you bring to this board.
