thanks!
thanks!

My SIL really loves Curves. (Then again she only had about 20 pounds to lose and lost it pretty quickly, probably as much to a starvation diet as to the exercise.) I can attest to the value of getting moving as far as aches and pains and stiffness go. I'm 44 and just adding walking to my routine made all of the creaks go away--especially in my knees. I was lucky to not have any real problems just grunts and groans from lack of use. If you are worried that you're not ready for a specific exercise regimen then I'd see your doctor first. Otherwise try walking a little every day and building up to more all the time. The more you do the more you'll want and will be able to do. Good luck! Annie
I used curves for about 6 months and found it to be great. However, despite what they may tell you, you still need to do a cardiovascular workout on your own time. When you build muscle it raises your resting metabolism, so say for example you burn 100 calories at rest, with more muscle you would burn 120 calories at rest. ( I made the numbers up, just as an example). Additionally, increasing your bone mass helps to prevent osteoperosis!Good luck!

I have been a member at Curves for 2 1/2 years, although I was pregnant during that time also, so not really faithful during the pregnancy and right after...but I enjoy the workouts.
