Hi everyone!! My name is Cassandra, I am 29 years old, I have been married for 10 years, I have a son who will be 10 in a few weeks, and two daughters who are 8 and 5. I have always been a larger person. When my youngest child was born I lost 100lbs but I gained it all back plus a few. I started my new lifestyle journey on Oct. 9th. Since then I have lost 35lbs. I now have about 105 lbs to go to get to my first goal of 150. My biggest discouragment is that no one has noticed my weight loss. I have gone from a size 26 to a size 18/20, I have lost somthing like 35 inches all over, and no one noticed. My dh is awesome and of course he has noticed, but he is also the only person who knows about the change. I feel kind of alone and am looking for some friends that know what I am going through so I can talk about what works and what doesn't and so on. So thats me in a nutshell I guess.

Not a silly question at all. Most people up here have good blinds or curtains, some people even cover their windows with tin foil to keep the sun out. But that being said, people don't sleep a whole in the summer time, it is not unusual to see someone out mowing their lawn after midnight, ect.... It is like all the daylight gives you an enormous amount of energy. Just the opposite happens in the winter when it is dark 24/7, we eat dinner at just after 3 in the afternoon and go to bed at around 7-8. The darkness makes you want to hibernate. LOL!!
The summer here are just amazing, and there are so many great sites to see. My parents have a boat on the ocean about 8 hours away in Valdez, they get up close with the glaciers and sea otters and sea lions, they have seen several whales. We have moose all over the place, occasional bears. Oh and the mountains are beautiful.

Normally the summer temps are in the 70's and 80's, last summer was cooler and rarely got above 70. Anchorage is the biggest city in Alaska, its 365 miles from here. Up until 3 years ago we had to drive to Anchorage just to be able to go to Walmart. Our town is finally growing!! I was going to post a pic for you but haven't figured it out yet.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your fantastic weight loss. You are very active!!
People didn't notice that I lost weight untill I started wearing clothes of smaller sizes. Actually I started noticing it more after wearing smaller sizes LOL. What is really funny is that I lost 30 lbs and very few people commented, and once I gained 5 pounds everybody was telling me I was gaining.. thanks!
Looking forward to losing and posting with you. Best wishes to your continued success
