New and a bit clueless

My name is shoegal1116(or Monica) and I am new on here. I started doing the weight and calorie tracker and working out a few days ago. I'm 240 but my goal is to be 140. My biggest problem is calorie tracking and finding food that's a bit better for me and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Long story short: I need help.
Thanks,
shoegal

HI..
you don't have to spend losts of $$ in order to eat healther.
if fresh fruits/veggies are too expensive, try the frozen or the canned. (and get the cheapest brand you can, generic is just as good as name brand.) you can also wait for them to go on sale and stock up.
Rice is healthy and cheap, especially if you buy the "long cook" instead of instant(again buy generic)
as for meats.. when i buy chicken, i usually get the leg quarters.. they are like 69 cents a pound but before cooking take the skin off of them and you can debone them yourself as well.
where we live in Southern Wisconsin, there is a grocery store chain called Aldi's which is cheaper than most generic brands.. you can get veggies for 29c a can, a bag of boneless skinless chicken breast 3 lb bag for ony $5. etc.
it might take you a while to find out which stores have the best deals on certain items, but once you get into the "thrift" shopping mode, it'll get easier

Welcome to the board!
Oh!
Hi Monica!
I've had the same problem with finding healthy food that doesn't cost too much.
