1st visit with dietician

Went to dietician appt. yesterday. I weighed in at 313lbs. Thats down from tuesdays weight at the dr's office of 318lbs!!!!! Basically it was her telling me to eat the same thing daily for breakfast and lunch also if possible. I am aloud to vary my dinners. I for one cannot stand much more instant oatmeal(I've been eating it daily since 12/21/06)!!! She said by doing so one can keep their bloodsugars in check alot easier because the body learns what to expect. I also am to continue eating fish 3x a week. So far this week I have had salmon for 2x. I would think variation in meals would help a person loose weight easier because the body doesn't always rely on the same foods. She said that when I go back on Tuesday we will discuss the kind and amount of exercise I should be doing. I am already thinking in the back of my mind isn't 7 days of 30 minutes of cycling and 3 days a week walking at the mall for half and hour plenty!!! I did ride the bike yesterday for an hour and I thought I was gonna die!!!!.....lol I am so use to exercising now that since I have skipped today I feel upset with myself.....

I think thats great. Do you think a dietician really helps I was thinking of getting one but I don't know how expensive they are and I don't know if my insurance will cover it. Maybe if my primary says it is needed. good luck to you. I just wanted to write you again becaue I saw your profile and I am an aquarius too (Jan 29th) and love the movie pretty women and I am also a homemaker. Just felt like we had a lot in common.
take care
Jenn

Congratulations on the loss!!! That's awesome news! WOW you do work your butt off literaly LOL.. good for you. I think visiting a dietition does help a lot.. I visited a nutrition when I first started and it made a big difference (expensive though, my medical doesn't cover it, actually my medical doesn't cover sh!t, but that's a different story). My nutrition was all into variety though.
Anyways, best wishes on your continued success!!
