Hi, My name is Kim,

I am 25 years old and at my highest weight (Hopefully!!!)
I have been married to my high school sweetheart (Mark, 27) for 6 years and we have 2 children. Camber (DD) is 3 1/2 and Cooper (DS) is 2.

I am a full time student at the University of West Florida majoring in Psychology (Although I'm going to be teaching middle school math) and I only have 2 semesters to go till I have my bachelor's!!!!!!!

I am currently 6'2" (yes, 6'2") and weigh 315. My goal weight is 200 (Which by the BMI chart would still put me 20 lbs. over weight.)

I have a REALLY hard time being motivated.....
I am starting the Walk Away the Pounds video (It's hard to schedule gym time when you've got a full load at school and 2 little ones :) )

I am just looking for friends and a bit of moral support in this journey!!

I look foward to getting to know you all :)

~Kim

Hi Kim, glad to have you on board with us.

Doing the WATP videos is great exercise. I personally don't like to go to a gym.. I don't have the time, but when I did I didn't like it. It was a big chore for me and I hated that. I do my stationary bike infront of the TV (or rather will start again to get my butt into gear this week) and I walk when I can.

Best of luck to you on losing the weight. Looking forward to your posts.

I just posted here before I read your post. OMG - you are the same height and weight as myself!!

I'm with you on the motivation - especially to work out. I do the treadmill each morning but it is tough. Like you I'm on the go working full time, 3 kids, and running our 3 businesses on the side. No time for Mom right?

If you want a partner in all this I'm here for you. And I wish all the best luck. My goal is 200 pounds as well - although I would love to get to 180 (not likely!).

I decided this time to put a few silly goals in front of me. Here they are:

1. Do a Situp Unassisted - with my hands behind my head, no one holding my feet - do a single situp.

2. Pushup - again, do a real, all the way to the floor, pushup. I never have!

3. Run with my Brother - my brother is very skinny and runs - I would love to go running with him one day and keep up!

Anyway - all the luck in the world to you - we know we can do this!!

I WOULD LOVE A PARTNER!!!!

I can't believe that we're built the same way....it's VERY rare that I meet anyone anywhere near my height.

I haven't really thought about any goals, but I probably should. I just don't want my kids to grow up in the same situation that I was in. Neither of my parents knew anything about nutrition or exercise so it was kinda a "eat everything on your plate and we'll let you watch some more t.v.)

I just want them to see things differently than I did, that way they're not 25 and trying to make a HUGE life change, ya know!?

I'm just glad that i came across this board....now all I need to do is get my butt in gear :)

You sound like my twin. My parents were the same - good meals but high in calories, etc. And I also ate all this stuff in between meals - like 12 meals a day!

I was skinny my whole life until my early twenties. I'm 37 now. I never understood when I was full - I ate all the time. Still do...but trying to stop.

My husband is 6'10" so I kept up with him the first part of our marriage - not realizing it.

Now he and I both are trying to be good role models for the kids - i agree with you there. My kids are my world.

I'm trying to keep a journal too of my food intake, workouts and weight. See if it helps to see progress.

Hopefully knowing someone with my exact same build doing it too will help motivate me to keep up with you! ;-)

Hi Kim!

Welcome! I joined this board about 3 weeks ago. It is REALLY A GREAT PLACE to get motivated. All these wonderful women are awesome.

I think we have a lot in common. I am 27 and teach middle school Language Arts in SW Fl. I graduated from UF. My best friend lives in St. Augustine and my husband's family lives in Gainesville.

I'm glad you joined the board. All of us are losing together this year.

Best Wishes,
Samie
