Hi, I believe I've found the place for me. As I sit here with my tummy hanging over my lap! I really need to be accountable to someone, and I keep finding reasons to not go to group type meetings. Sooo, I'm really hoping that participation in an online support group will help. I've never really done this so if I make mistakes please let me know. I'm exited about the prospect of getting healthier.

That one the reason I like coming here because no one can judge me. I been judged most of my life and I had enough.

Just wanted to let you know that I got my Leslie Sansone video in the mail on Tuesday and have been doing it since then and I think it's great! I got the video Walk Away the Pounds - The 1 mile walk by her. It has a warm up, then it goes a bit faster, a cool down is next and then some leg stretches. IT'S WONDERFUL! I highly recommend it. It's also easy on the knees, I know what you mean about it being a problem area. Anyway, you could try that one (the 1 mile), a two mile, or a three mile. I'm going to start with the one mile and build up from there. Good Luck to you! -Susan

Because of an accident I too have knee problems as well as a hip issue. Several months ago I went to our local Goodwill store just looking for some sort of exercise equipment I could use at home. I happened on a recumbent exercise bike. I don't know if you know what a recumbent bike is (I didn't!)But you sit on a regular type seat. It has a back on it, so it's much easier on the back than a regular bike. You pedal out in front of you rather than down like a regular exercise bike. The handles are down at your side. But, you don't really need to "hang on" to anything because you're sitting in a regular seat. Actually, I've started using my little hand held weights while I pedal. This has really been a relief to my knees. I do try to walk as well, but it's really hard now, so this bike has been a godsend.
Best of luck!
