Good Morning All,
I haven't posted in several weeks but I've been around.
I had taken my 2 1/2 yr old to the pediatrcian 2 weeks ago today for his pre op for getting tubes in his ears. I also had my 10 month old son with us. While waiting to be called in, I got dizzy and lightheaded and then when we got called in I was about to pass out. The nurse helped me to the room and lay down, then got me water and took my bp. My bp was 155/108! After about 15 minutes, I got worse and they called 911. My DH met the ambulance at the hospital and my dad went to the pediatrician to get my boys. It was a very scary experience!! The ER dr told me it was Vertigo and I was literally in bed for 10 days and no driving. I only went out to go with my DH to take my son for his surgery of tubes in ears, and I felt horrible then too and couldn't wait to get back to my bed.
Luckily for me, my job closes for 2 weeks for winter break and this all happened during that time and we just returned to work on Monday. I saw an ENT dr and my primary this week and it wasn't vertigo but I now have high bp! In the ENT office it was 145/108 and at the primary dr the next day it was 145/95! I'm now on meds and have to have bloodwork done in 10 days and see dr again in 3 weeks.
I'm now watching what I eat and bringing lunch to work this week so far. I need to lose this weight!
Sorry this is so long but I'm back and wishing you all the best in 2007!

Aww....good grief...
It's true that when it rains it pours!
I hope that you start feeling better soon, and that the doctors can really figure this thing out and then fix it!!
Good luck to you!
