I do have 100 lbs to lose, which was very hard for me to say. Last year when I had my physical I was somewhere around 252-254, so the first of this year. I stopped drinking soda (my addiction), started watching what I ate and I am down to 242. I feel better, my knees on't hurt like they did. I work retail which can be weird hours. I have a hard time with the exercise part. We live in the country, no sidewalks to walk on and in the winter the back roads can be icy and hard to walk on. I do take the long way to walk back and forth to the timeclock and to the breakroom. I am thinking about checking out our local Curves as I could go before/after work and it is just a couple of mins from work. I am always looking for good recipes. My other downfall I cannot use sugar substitutes. So far I am doing ok. In the morning I wake up to my juice, if I want I have hot tea without sugar, the rest of the time it is water. I am 41 so my metabolism is not what it use to be, and I have 4 kids the oldest is away at college and my other 3 are home 13,15,17. My dh says he is supportive but he eats alot, so eating with him does not help alot of the time. We rarely eat together he gts up at 4 AM and most nights I work till 11 PM. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hey Kim,

Welcome aboard! Age really does make a difference for the old metabolism, doesn't it? I'm 44 and though I've always struggled with my weight I know I "burned" a lot faster in my 20s and 30s. Oh well, it is what it is. Whining about it doesn't change things so I've been working on living with and changing the body I have. I look forward to sharing the road with you. Annie

Welcome Kim! I am fairly new here too and have been happy to find a place where people get it. To have people that can relate to the struggles that come with having so much to loose. These ladies are inspiring. I look forward to seeing you around the board and loosing with you.
