3-hour diet

Yesterday I was in Borders with a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. They were out of stock on the 100 Days book and the Body Clutter book. I started reading the 3-Hour diet by Jorge Cruise and ended up buying it. Has anyone tried this? Essentially it's like many of the other "mini-meal" approaches I've heard about, suggesting around 1450 calories daily distributed among 3 meals, 2 snacks and one 50 calorie treat. Nothing is restricted but 1/2 of your plate are supposed to be filled with veggies and fruit. I'm going to give it a shot, but would like to hear from anyone whose tried it. (I guess he's been on Oprah, but I never watch her.) Thanks, Annie

this theory is kind of what i do following WW. I have something every 2-3 hours, with the idea behind this is never to be totally starving for a meal to prevent overeating. the important factor is that you make healty choices with a strong eye on portion sizes.

I have heard of this plan and this is just my 2¢ worth.

I haven't read the book, or seen him on Oprah, but I try to eat every 2 hours.

I've read about this diet before and I think it does work. On the days when I don't eat my snacks at work, I end up eating a lot once I hit home because I'm usually starving (I'm home around 5 pm). I noticed that when I force a snack & a lunch (usually at 12 & 3) things are much better for the rest of the day.

They also say that it helps with metabolism. And the same concept is recommended for people with diabetes so they have constant insulin levels throughout the day (dh has diabetes so I've been doing a little research).

Thanks everyone. I've never really been a snacker so this is a real switch for me. It worries me that by shifting calories from meals to snacks that I won't ever feel satisfied or full at meals. He also suggests more calories for breakfast than I typically get in. I'm starting today though. T minus 45 minutes to my morning snack. LOL Thanks for all of your input. If Sue the weight loss goddess says it works for her that's all the endorsement I need to give it a shot. :-) Annie
