sorry i haven't been here in over the last week or 2, i've been off of work since the 19th.. which is when my gall bladder surgery was scheduled for, but we all got the Flu in our house so they rescheduled the surgery for the 25th. so i've been off work since the 19th, at home which means i only get the chance to go online at night after the kiddos go to bed, that is if i'm not too wiped out,..

so anyways.. we went in on Thursday to have the gall bladder surgery, the procedure only lasted 1 hr plus an additional 1.5 hrs in the recovery room. I was home by 2:30, and slept most of that day/night. Fri & Sat were pretty much the same thing, sleep, get up take some pain meds, drink my water, go to the bathroom and then go back to bed,
they did the surgery lapriscopally so i only have 4 incisions on my belly, they blow up your belly with carbon dioxide for the procedure, and i must have quite a bit of it left in my system cause i look like i am PG. the Dr said my gall bladder was i pretty bad shape so its a good thing they took it out now.

So now i don't have to go back to work until Feb 12th. DH is taking the kids to daycare & picking them up everyday, so i have time to recouperate and have "mommy time" as DH calls it.. I can't lift any more than 10 lbs which means that DH has to do all the stuff that I normally do with the kids.. YEAH!!
Now he'll get a taste of what it is like for me every night.

I am soo not looking forward to weighing myself tomorrow. i'm sure i've gained weight, because i haven't been watching my food intake, i haven't gotten any physical activity what so ever .. the only thing that i've been doing right lately is drinking my water.

talk to ya'll soon

Welcome back Sara!! It sounds like everything went smooth. Bless your dh for taking care of everything until you're fully recovered. I wonder how long he'll last before he goes crazy hehe

A very stupid question just crossed my mind.. once you get your gall bladder removed.. ummm how does the rest of the system work?

Sara, you must be relieved to have the surgery behind you. We missed you but it's great to know you're doing well. As far as the weight loss goes--first things first! Get yourself back on your feet and recovered. Any gain just consider an expense of having to take care of a health issue. You've done so well previously that you'll be able to pick up where you left off soon enough! Welcome back and take care! Annie
