Hi, I want to eat something healthy for lunch.

Whole wheat pita with hummus spread inside and then filled with sliced cucumber, tomato and lettuce. I like banana peppers in there as well. A slice of cheese on there can be nice too. A cup of berries or fruit cocktail makes a nice dessert. I always keep baby carrots in the house, they travel really well ... no refrigeration needed!

Lowfat Cottage Cheese with chopped vegetables and a little no fat french dressing with a side of triscuit crakers. Banana to round it out.

My lunch today was a 1/2 ham and swiss with mustard on whole wheat bread (large slices so 1/2 is not deprivation), baby carrots, cherry tomatos and an apple.

Hope these ideas help.

Hi Helen, just wanted to mention that they make a 100 calorie pack of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips.....sooooo yummy!

Let's see, string cheese, maybe a boiled egg? I'm not quite as creative as Colleen LOL, boy not having a microwave is tough!

I do need to look for the sunchips! Didn't know there was a 100 calorie pack. I love those things!

Personally I like the texture of a nice whole grain bread over a wrap. But a warp has the advantage of letting you pack in more veggies and I do like to mix it up. There are also some interesting wraps with herbs and things in them so you get a nice flavor going without a whole lot of work. We always have the large tortillas in our refrigerator .. great for tucking scrambled eggs into and I make pizza rolls for my kids with them ... I swear they would eat those everyday for lunch if I let them.

Lemon Chicken Wrap would also be a great idea. For dinner get one of those roasted chickens from the supermarket deli and use the leftovers. Put Dijon mustard on the wrap, then fill with 2 oz chicken, spinach, sliced cucumber and tomato .... very delicious!

Just think fresh fruits/vegetables and variety ... no bad answers here, experiment with different cheeses or meats and lowfat/nonfat condiments. There are some great herbed non fat feta cheeses you can toss into a warp or a salad.

And never underestimate a nice bowl of cereal and fruit for lunch! I use soy milk which you can buy in the smaller single serve boxes.

I get bored easily ... can you tell? I would go crazy on one of those diets that makes you eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch every day.

I don't have access to a refrigirator or a microwave too.. here's what I usually pack for lunch:

Pita pocket with whatever leftover meat from yesterdays' dinner, add mustard, lettuce, sliced cucumber, sliced tomatos. Tastes like heaven to me and can be fixed in a minute. Usually pick an apple, orange, or banana to go with that.

If I have some time in the morning I fix this: cut green onions,
