This is going to be a better month!

The past week have been hard and I need support. I haven't been exercising, not drinking much water and not eating right. I just feel like I keep slipping away from my plan. I have to re-focus and organize my thoughts and figure out some goals for the month of February. So, here they are:

1. Drink More Water atleast 8 12 oz glasses

2. Do my Leslie Sansone Walk Away the pounds video everyday

3. Look into joining a gym but definately look at rates of membership

4. If I do join a gym try going out there atleast 3 days a week

5. Bundle up and walk more places instead of staying couped up in the apartment

6. Watch what I eat --- limit myself to one hershey kiss a day for my chocolate fix, no more potatoe chips, no more bolgna and cheese sandwhiches, more water to feel full between meals, more fruit, more portion control and that's all I can think of now.

7. To feel better about myself by what I'm doing and rewarding myself appropiately.

I KNOW I will be able to do this thanks to my supportive husband and the help of this board. Thanks for reading, it just helps to see it, even on a message board.

OH AND HEALTHY MEALS HEALTHY MEALS HEALTHY MEALS

THANKS EVERYONE FOR BEING HERE, I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU! GOOD LUCK TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU THIS MONTH AND FOR FUTURE MONTHS!!!!!!!!!

Susan,
These are very realistic and obtainable goals. I like your idea of researching gyms...it is a good way to get yourself in the mindset for going and it is very important to find one that is easy to get to, is the right type of gym for you, and where you feel at home, in addition to one you can afford. A slightly more expensive place you go to three-five times a week is cheaper in the long run than a less expensive place you never go to. Most gyms will let you have a 'tryout' week and so you can actually get in a lot of gym workouts for 'free' if there are several in your area. And when you find the right one, you'll know it. Also, many people don't know that hotels with workout areas/pools often sell memberships. These are good if you aren't looking for a 'community' as most people using them are there for a few days and then gone. Usually really good/new equipment without many services..

Do you have a reward planned for yourself for meeting these goals?

Best wishes on your journey! You can do this

Hi Susan
I know exactly what you mean. I seem to be in a February slump too. I've done well up until the last few days. I REALLY shouldn't have bought those Girl Scout cookies from the kid down the street! Also got derailed with a winter storm we had here and I work for a local electric utility...long story short...12 hour days and LOTS of junk food. It's that same old story with me..the food is there..it's free...it must be eaten! I would eat it even though I didn't want it and was completely disgusted with myself! I also think I have that "mid winter disorder", SAD? is that what it's called. I go to work in the dark, come home in the dark, and don't want to do ANYTHING when I come in. So I have done very little exercise.

Oh well, I'm shaking it off and getting back on the horse, as they say. It's a new day. Small goals...right now, waiting for the jeans to be comfortable again!!

Good luck!

You can do this Susan!! You wrote everything out in such details and you've got yourself a real good plan. Once you get in the groove of things, it will get much easier. Hang in there.. you can make it!
