Need Ideas for wraps...

When I went to the store today I bought some wraps for sandwiches instead of bread, something different. I was hoping to have some different ideas and still keep them good for me. Please share your ideas. I tend to get bored with the same things and so far I have done good for a month and it has been more than a month with no soda.

Around my area lots of sandwiches have coleslaw on them. (Oh, and fries too, yikes!) Slaw (homemade only so you can keep the extra calories OUT) tastes awesome in a wrap with some turkey or other non-decadent deli meat or tuna. It's really crunchy and gets some extra veggies in. If you have to pack it you can add the slaw when you eat it so it doesn't get soggy. (Broccoli slaw is great!) Mmmmm...I might have to make a wrap this week! Annie

What I like about wraps is that you can pack alot more veggies in them since once you wrap them, the veggies aren't sliding out. Here are some ideas ...

Lemon Chicken Wrap. You can buy lemon chicken deli sliced at the store but I like to get one of those whole roasted chickens for dinner one night and then use the leftovers. Put Dijon mustard on the wrap, then fill with 2 oz chicken, spinach, sliced cucumber and tomato .... very delicious!

Turkey Roll ups. Mix fat free cream cheese with salsa(just a little of each until you get a creamy spread), spread on the wrap. 2 oz of deli sliced Turkey and 1 oz of shredded lowfat cheese (I like cheddar) and then add what ever veggies you like to fill out the rest. I like romaine lettuce myself.

Chicken Ceasar Wrap. 2 oz Chicken breast (another good use of the leftover), romaine lettuce with a little non fat ceaser dressing.

Black Bean Wrap. I like this with a little chicken in it depending on your calorie targets. This is not good for taking to work, but if you are at home it's a nice warm treat. Heat 1/2 c black beans, heat wrap (about 15 seconds), spoon beans onto wrap, add shredded lettuce and choped tomato ... I like a little red onion as well, add a little dolop of non fat sour cream and warp it up!

Hope that helps!
