Is Anyone Else???

Is anyone else trying to walk for 30 minutes at least 5 days a week? I started yesterday on the treadmill,and I walked again today!(I have to listen to music) I wrote in my food/exercise journal,too. Trying to make better food choices,getting better.Trying to make the exercise a habit I do for me. Hum. Well, HELLO, EVERYBODY!!!

This has been my goal to get in 3 days+ exercise a week. (I want to start slow so I don't fizzle out.) I would love to walk on the treadmill, however, it is completely buried in our storage room right now. I hope to by the end of the month have it cleaned out and make room for it so that it can become more of a daily thing. thanks for the reminder. Come spring I will be moving to outside walking when I can, but with kids home and busy schedules sometime getting up early (while they still sleep) and not leaving the house is a more doable option. I am however trying to work on a playlist so I am ready. Have to have some good music! Keep up the great work!

I'm jumping in here on the 'getting your license' thing.
I got my license when I was in high school, but I hated to drive, never felt 'safe' I moved to the city to attend college, and was able to walk/take mass transit most every where and avoided driving for almost 30 years-but always renewed my license so I could use it for identification.
Four years ago, for a lot of reasons, I decided that I HAD to drive, and I took a set of lessons - and I have to tell you, I LOVE it...I don't own a car, but I spend a lot of time on the Cape with my Mom in the summer, and I drive all the time there, plus when I am with her on the weekends. The freedom is amazing! I keep saying 'why didn't anyone tell me how fun this was?'.
If I can do this, believe me, anyone can!

Is it a treadmill at your house?
I find I exercise longer if I turn the tv on - and by accident I found I exercised alot faster when my hubby had Saw3 on.lol-...at the gym I always bring my mp3 because I have certain songs that pump me up...and they usually have book holders so I can read too. I'm not sure how much I ingest while I'm reading, but it keeps my mind off the timer.
Yup! That was my goal for this week. However it didn't go well for the first part of the week. Its been so cold, I tried one day but as the tears froze to my face the wind all but blinded me, I thought to myself "what WAS I thinking!".
However, I been trying little things like taking the long way home from walking my son to school and walking in place while watching TV. I had my aquafitness class tonight and I think Im getting the hang of it, because it sure felt like a workout! LOL
