I got the food, exercise and activity tracker called "Drawing the Line on Calories, Carbs, and Fat" yesterday after ordering it at www.advantagediets.com. It's amazing. It does so much and so easily. All you have to do is draw a line between dots on a sheet of dots called "The Daily Connection". The Food List booklet that's included has so many foods and what's not there, you can use information from a food package.
I really like the way it shows how many calories I've burned when I exercise. It kind of makes me want to exercise more because it means I'm burning off more of the calories I ate.
And the hunger/fullness gauge really makes me focus on when and why I'm eating. It's interesting how the author of "Drawing the Line" says that you should stop eating at "just satisfied" and not "full". And that if you start eating at "just satisfied" (in other words, you're not hungry), the only place you'll end up is being full because you really didn't need to eat. Isn't that the truth!
I really recommend you check it out and get it. There's so much more to it that I've just mentioned. And if any of you have diabetes (or even if you don't), it's great for meal planning, as well as tracking blood glucose numbers.
I think this system just may keep me on target. Here's hoping it does.

I have about 85 pounds to lose. I've thought about trying the low-carb approach but can't imagine giving up bread. So, I'm going to try a balanced diet, not too much carbs and not too much fat. I think Drawing the Line should help me figured out what works that I can do even after I've reached my goal. I don't want to be eating one way to lose weight to only have to change it to something else.
What are you doing to lose weight?
Hi there,
This time around I'm trying to make exercise as big of a focus as diet. Diet-wise I target between 1400 and 1600 a day keeping sugar, fat, and sodium low and fiber high. Low carb isn't great for me, and I haven't had much long-range success with Weight Watchers. In the past I've dropped 30 or 40 pounds fast and then couldn't keep it going long term and gained it all back and then some. Admittedly it's been slow going for me this time around, but I'm hoping that it will be a permanent life change. Good luck drawing the line! Annie 252/233/156
I'm so glad you found something that would work for you!!
What sort of exercise are you doing? Are you scheduling something regular?
Why do you think Weight Watchers didn't work for you?
With what you're doing now, how do you know how many calories you are eating? Do you keep track of what you eat? That's why I really like Drawing the Line. It's easy to use and keeps me honest. It also shows me how I can incorporate some of my favoriate foods and not feel guilty about it.
As for exercise, I'm trying to include more in my daily routine, as well. When the weather isn't good, I do the treadmill. If the weather is nice, I like to walk. What type of exercise do you do?

I do some floor exercises and then I do the treadmnill on bad weather days. But when the weather is nice, I try to walk. How about you?
