Had a great week.

Hello all. Happy Valentine's Day. I told my hubby he could get me anything as long as I couldn't eat it. lol Well I had been having a slow few weeks. Last week I gained .2 and I was devestated. I was assured that it was normal and didn't really mean anything but still don't want to see the scale go up. Instead of giving in and giving up I joined the YMCA that same day. I have begun working out Monday thru Friday and am loving it. When I got on the scale this week I actually lost 4 POUNDS. 4 POUNDS CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I was even surprised. So far I have lost 12 pounds in 6 weeks. I am feeling better about myself and I feel like I can do this. I have bought a few dance tapes to do at home on the days I can't get to the gym or for the weekends. I am looking forward to my cousins wedding next Feburary and showing off my new body. This time I can see myself thin. My only problem is that someone gave me a gift card to Lane Bryant for Christams. I could use clothes now but feel like I should wait till I have at least dropped a size. But I really don't want to wait forever. Any advice. Hope you all are doing well and I wish you all great success.

Tammy that's really great news. What do you think about stopping by LB and trying on a bunch of stuff? There might be something that would be useful now and still look good for a while even after you lose some more. You might also find that you'd rather wait until the seasons change so that you can really make the most of your gift card. Keep up the great work! Annie

Well done Tammy on the weightloss you done a great job. I would wait to the new season come out so you could use the most of the giftcard. Keep up with the good job girl!

Wooohooo you! Congratulations on a super week!!!

Bet you feel fantastic... and will enjoy your shopping spree even more. My experience is that a "size" is about 20 pounds, if that helps. Being a bit frugal (when it comes to myself, anyway) I try to find styles that will span a couple of sizes, and maybe seasons, without looking silly. Maybe a little something new from LB would reinforce your resolve. After all, you won't be able to shop there once you've "shrunk" significantly, right? So enjoy!

Congrats on the weight loss and I agree with everyone else bout buying something you can take up or wear for a couple sizes dropped. I found lots of nice work clothes that would be easy to take up as I lose! That way I didn't feel quite so badly about buying a whole new wardrobe when I started working.

Congratulations on the 4lbs!!! And on your strong determination!! I bet you're feeling great.

As for LB, IMO you should just go ahead and buy yourself something. Maybe something that's a little tight?
