Hope all of you ladies had a good Valentine's Day.
Well, it's 11:30 on Valentine's Day, and I'm watching Letterman and checking the board, so you can see how "romantic" I am!
Seriously, I think your DH is not at all unusual in his behavior towards the swoony occasions. And you being 50 or 100 pounds lighter will be wonderful, but don't put the responsibility for his forgetfulness on yourself, or expect that his behavior will definitely change when you're svelte. My own DF of 13 years braved the ice storm here <> to pick up a last-minute heart-shaped box of chocolates <>, but I'll give him points for remembering at all. Forethought is not his strong suit anyway. Maybe I'm just getting old...
Congratulations on committing to a healthier you! I think that the diabetic plan and WW have many similarities, and either could work well for you. Or, you might switch between them to keep it fresh. The biggest challenge for me, and I think for many of us, is making it through that second week.. when the novelty's worn off, but healthy eating isn't a habit yet. Water, walking, and perserverance... you'll get there, and I look forward to making the journey with you!

I am with you 100% on the whole man thing, dh has gotten progressively worse over the years as well. he uses the same excuse, didn't have time..okay whatever.
Like Misha said though don't put it on yourself!! Do somethign for yourself this week. That is what I did and it made me feel beter.

I'm sorry that dh isn't making the effort, It's not you! I think it's them, because my dh isn't making an effort anymore either. So I will send you some flowers....
ROTFLMAO
You are too funny@!!!!!
