New to Board

Hello, I'm new to this board, but not to IVillage, and definitely not new to trying to lose weight! I'll try a certain diet and do well for a while, but then I'll just fizzle out and gain back the weight plus more.
I had been on Weight Watchers 5 years ago and lost about 27 pounds, but after 4 months I just kind of quit. Of course I gained back the weight plus a few pounds more. Back in September, I noticed my pants were just not fitting any more, and there was no ignoring I was gaining weight yet again. Slowly I started cutting down on what I ate, and DH and I stopped going out to eat as much as we had been. That seemed to help a little, but now that DH's weight has started creeping up, I decided THIS IS IT. I told him I'm going back on WW and I'm dragging him along. I pulled out all my books and the point calculator and made a meal plan for the next week. I weighed myself this morning for the first time in about 3 years, so I'm officially starting.
I really think I can do it this time, but I know I need more than just myself for support, so I'm really glad I found this board. I've read through a few of the posts, and I'm looking forward to joining in the check-ins and offering support when I can.
