When you go grocery shopping, do you have a list on you?

If you have a list, do you still stray away from it?

Do you usually go on an empty stomach?

Fess up, do you buy junk items "for the kids, or just for dh" and deep down there you know you're going to eat most of it?

Do you actually enjoy grocery shopping or is it a shore?

When you go grocery shopping, do you have a list on you?

Can't go without a list! I even try to write my list according to store's aisle order! Otherwise I back track too much!

If you have a list, do you still stray away from it?
Yes!

Do you usually go on an empty stomach?

I've learned to try not to go hungry. Or depending on which store I go to, I can buy a D.donuts tea or coffee to curb my cravings while I shop.

Fess up, do you buy junk items "for the kids, or just for dh" and deep down there you know you're going to eat most of it?

I'm going to eat SOME of it! Its easier for me to not buy it for them than me so If I can justify not buying it for them then its easier for me to resist buying at all!

Do you actually enjoy grocery shopping or is it a shore?

I like shopping. Even grocery shopping. I like to see how cheap I can buy meals. Can I get as many meals as last week for a cheaper amount. I'm the crazy lady in front of you at the register arguing coupons! Sorry, but a bucks a buck!

When you go grocery shopping, do you have a list on you?

--Usually unless I've taken my mom to the store. Then inevitably I pick up a few things we're low on.

If you have a list, do you still stray away from it?

--I'm pretty good at sticking to it, mostly hunting for specials or coupon items.

Do you usually go on an empty stomach?

--I always try to go after a meal if I can.

Fess up, do you buy junk items "for the kids, or just for dh" and deep down there you know you're going to eat most of it?

--If it's PMS time all bets are off! What I have gotten better at is buying chips or cookies in indivual servings. This goes against all things green and cheap about me because I hate the extra packaging and expense, but it keeps me from eating 1/2 a big bag of Cheetos without coming up for air.

Do you actually enjoy grocery shopping or is it a shore?

--I like it a lot better now that my kids are both in school and I don't have to drag them whining and complaining the whole way. They got tired of helping mom a long time ago.

Yes,I always make a grocery list because we have a very tight budget that we have to stick too!

Sometimes I will stray away from my grocery list, but only if there is a really good sale on something that we always need such as toilet paper, paper plates, paper towels,detergent,etc....

Nope,I never go grocery shopping on an empty stomach! If I do go grocery shopping on an empty stomach,I can be certain that I will head towards the sweets because they always smell so good in the bakery section. Brownies,Chocolate Cake,Cinnamon Rolls,Chocolate Chip Cookies, and of course doughnuts are my biggest weakness!! :-(

No,I really don't buy any kind of sweets or anything for my DD or my DH that I know that I will end up eating if they don't! The only thing I end up eating is any fruit that is left,or those cheese cubes by Kraft that come in different flavors and are so good,YUMMY!! ;-)

Believe it or not,I love to go grocery shopping, but I don't enjoy having to lug all of those grocery bags and having to put all of the groceries away!! :-(

When you go grocery shopping, do you have a list on you?
Always, and I still forget things every single time, not to mention trying to find things down here, I can find 8 kinds of fresh chili or tortillas, but not a shallot within 30 miles. Frustrating, and forget about a health food store, we have one, but it's mostly smoothies and supplements.

If you have a list, do you still stray away from it?
Constantly, I have to substitute things, change menus, but mostly I just restock what I'm short on, like herbs, canned soups, veggies, fudgecicles (a necessity) and seasonal fruit, what ever catches my eye that day. Right now I'm all about the oranges and grapefruit because the trees in the neighbor's yard are ripe yummy.

Do you usually go on an empty stomach?
Depends on when I go, if I go after work I'm always hungry when I get there, but since I'm not working right now, I don't, because I know me by now, and if I'm hungry, I will buy the entire store, and then throw half of it away because after that first day it doesn't look good anymore. Impulse buys suck that way.

Fess up, do you buy junk items "for the kids, or just for dh" and deep down there you know you're going to eat most of it?
Sadly I am the only one in my house that gets that stuff, and usually I can get away with just the sugar free fudgecicles, but about once a month I HAVE to buy the Dove special dark chocolates, mmmmmm dove chocolates *drools*

Do you actually enjoy grocery shopping or is it a shore?
The only time I enjoy grocery shopping is when I have enough cash to splurge on the really good stuff, and can plan out really good meals, like when we're having a party at the house and I get to go all-out-gourmet. That's fun. Otherwise, I put it off until (like now) I have nothing in my house except for bread, a can of corn and ice cubes. I'm even out of kitty litter, and almost out of dog food. I think there may be a pet rebellion here soon.
