Good Morning all!!!
I would love to be a part of your board, but first let me explain some background with me.
I've always been overweight for my age bracket since I can remember. Almost five years ago I had a beautiful daughter and was at 260 pounds. I went through an extreme depression and was down to 180 pounds. It would have been impossible to stay that way healthy so naturally when I got out of my depression I slowly but surely gained all my weight and then some back. I reached 310 pounds and knew I had to do something so I started dieting, which helped a lot. I'm now down to 295 but have been 295 for over 7 days. I don't know what I doing wrong at this point. I was rapidly losing and now I can't lose a pound. I'm exercising more than ever now and eating what I'm supposed to. I thought it could be a medical problem, but my Dr. confirmed that everything was normal???
I was at another board, but could never get a response.(the board was really slow) I'm really hoping that you all can help me because I'm at my wits end here. I still feel healthy which keeps me going but I have too much to lose for my weight loss to just stop. I know it takes time but I've completely changed everything and I would think as much weight as I need to lose, it would at least come off more steadily. Even a couple of pounds would be nice. HELP PLEASE!!!
What should I do?
Starting Weight-310
Current Weight-295
Goal Weight-165

First off, welcome to the board. I'm currently in a lull both in loss and motivation too, and I've tried to accept that this is just part of the natural cycle of things. One thing that REALLY helps me is to evaluate where I am at present vs. where I was a year ago or when I first started trying to lose again. The difference on the scale might not be as dramatic as I'd like, but my overall feeling of health and energy is much improved. What feels better for you now vs. 15 pounds ago?
Best of luck,
Annie

WElcome aboard!! Congrats on the weight you have already loss. YOu say it was rapidly going down then stopped right? How long have you been at this? Did you increase your exercise?
It is possible to go a week or more without losign but be doing everything right. Have you measured?? My numbers on the scale won't budge for the most part but I am losing inches so I must be doing something right. Maybe try tracking inches too so that maybe you can see that you are building muscle but losing fat hence still doing a fantastic job though the dreaded scale isnt' moving.
I wish you luck in staying motivated and on track.
Angela
Thank you.
Well, I can't say that I work out with more intensity, b/c it's generally the same. Once I get to a certain point of weight loss I always stop. I don't know what the problem is? Once I get to around 290 or so, it just stops every time. Normally I shut down and get upset; which results in me quitting the diet, but this time I'm really trying to make a lifestyle change. It's just so much easier and motivating when you see results. As for the measuring, I don't think I know how to measure correctly. I always get mixed results. Maybe I could have someone measure for me or something.
Well thanks again; if you think of anything else let me know.

Have you tried eating more?
I actually did go to the Dr. and she ok'd everything. All testing came back surprisingly normal. It's just frustrating when I feel that I sincerely doing everything I can. But I don't plan on giving up. At least not now. This has been almost 2 weeks, so I wait it out a couple of months for some results.
Thanks for the encouragement!
