One-day-at-a-time seems to work

Hi all
Well, I went to Monday weigh-in and lost (not misplaced) another 3.2 pounds. In 8 weeks I have dropped 36+ pounds. Has it been easy? Nope. I'm having to change my way of thinking, eating, socializing, exercising (well, actually doing some), etc.. Is it worth it? Yep! I'm getting healthy. That's my ultimate goal. Of course, with getting healthy comes a multitude of benefits both health related and vanity related. At 330 pounds when I would lay down at night to sleep, the fat would just follow gravity and settle along my windpipe causing me to wheeze. Sleeping should not be that difficult, but when you are so severely obese it is. Getting rid of 36+ pounds has made a big improvement. I'm looking forward to going to the restroom at work and not having to twist and turn to get through the doorway. Once again, losing 36+ pounds has started to impact my "stall dance". I need to lose 144 pounds (it was 180). I have many types of goals. My small goal is to lose about 3 pounds a week (which my doctor said was doable with the mass of fat I need to lose); my medium goal is to lose 10 pounds (I'm only 4 pounds away from my 4th 10 pounds); my big goal is to lose 50 pounds (I'm only a little over 13 pounds away from doing that); and my super-duper goal is to lose 180 pounds (I'm certainly on my way to doing that). However, the one goal I really do focus on regardless of anything else is to stay on my eating plan and exercise one-day-at-a-time. I can do that. I can do anything for one day. Over time those "anything one days" have started to show really great results. By focusing on my goal of following my plan one-day-at-a-time will get me to the ultimate life goal to be healthy. We fail when we lose focus on our ultimate goal and allow distractions in. Those distractions usually include the time it will take to lose so much fat/weight. It's harder to get distracted if I'm getting healthy one-day-at-a-time. I don't know if this will help anyone else, but it is how I am managing my weight loss. Oh, yes, and it's important to love and respect yourself.
