We would change our eating habits, we would start exercising, we would increase our water, etc..

But what wouldn't you do? (Either because you think it's too crazy, too scary, immoral, whatever)

Surgery....too scary for me!! I have a friend who had the gastric bypass and where she has done wonderful, the effects that she has to live with to have lost the weight are too much for me to think of having to deal with on a daily basis. Constantly getting upset stomach, chronic malnutrition, especially anemia. I couldnt' do it. I know it was the best thing for her due increasing back problems and making it where she could hardly walk, and now she can do just about anything so it was great in that aspect but I couldn't/wouldn't do it.

As a parent, I don't feel comfortable following any plan that eliminates foods completely. My kids watch too closely and I don't want them to think of certain food groups as bad. When DH and I were doing Atkins for a while my DS and DD began refusing foods that they loved (oatmeal, wheat bread, pasta) because they knew that mom and dad thought they were yukky.

I am with Angela, surgery would be going to far for me. I have actually come close a few times and could never bring myself to make the appointments. I guess I would rather continue to lose slowly forever than deal with the complications and limitations that come with the surgery.

I like to think that I would never do anything drastic like severely reducing my calories (think 250-500 per day) or taking pills...but I've been desparate enough to do it in the past.

I don't think I could have the surgery. I thought about it. Might have tried if $$ was no option. But, I would miss the relationship I have with food. I just don't think I could do it.

Crazy fad diets, check! diet pills, check! (different time and place in my life) I like to think I am older and wiser now. ;-)

For me it's pills.. I'll never take weight loss pills because I can't be convinced they're 1) safe 2) effective.

I will not do surgery for now, but I will welcome a tummy tuck after I'm done

Tummy tuck don't count.....LMAO

Seriously thought let me clarify I meant weight loss surgery like Gastric Bypass. Cuz I would be willing to do a tummy tuck if I had the money. Seriously wouldn't mind having one if my tummy is still flabby.
