Hi. I am hoping to join your group. My name is Kerri and I have a long road ahead of me with the need to lose about 115 lbs. I started going to the gym about 2 weeks ago and have lost about 5-7 lbs so far. It's been a long journey putting on this weight, and it will be an even longer journey taking it off. Hope I can find some encouragement from you ladies to keep going strong!

welcome. remember slow wins the race. going slow your new changes become habits. it took me almost 4 years to lose my weight and so far have kept it off over 3 years. sounds like you are doing the right things, keep up the good work.

Hey Kerry! I'm new here too. I've got about 90lbs to drop...and I'm about to go through some bad times (the love of my life is moving back home until I graduate, financial situation) so I'm pretty much alone. I figure now is as good a time as any to really put a whole hearted effort into weight loss. I agree with you on the not really dietig part, just watching what you eat, getting exercise, etc. it makes it easier for me, at least. And thank god the weather is starting to get nice again, I can go back to walking outside vs. the treadmill!
