I just found a link to this board. I thought I was the only person in the world with at least 100 pounds to lose.
I just had a baby 3 months ago after spending most of my pregnancy on bedrest. I was about 40 pounds overweight to begin with and gained 60 while I was pregnant (bedrest=boredom=chocolate!) I'm also breastfeeding, which I thought would equal quick weight loss, but the opposite seems to be happening. I am STARVING all the time and while I try to eat healthy, it's very hard with a newborn (I'm a single parent also, so no big healthy meals cooked around here!) And going to the gym..yeah right! We walk everyday, but I am so weak from bedrest that I get discouraged that I wear out so easily.
I guess I've gotten kind of long winded, but I'm so excited to have found this place! I look forward to getting to know you guys!
Amanda

Hi Amanda,
I'm glad you found us too! Having so much weight to lose can become very isolating as can spending time with a newborn! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you and hope we can encourage each other along the way. All the best, Annie
Welcome to the board and congrats on the new little one!

Welcome aboard Amanda.. yep there are plenty of us 100'ers around LOL.. glad you're joining.
Congratulations on the new baby!! And congratulations on wanting to lose the weight despite having a 3 month old on your hands LOL. I gained most of my weight during pregnancy, although I wasn't on bed rest.. I even gained after childbirth - go figure. It's really great that you're tryiing to lose weight this early.. I was told that if I tried earlier, then I might have lost it sooner.. right now I think it just stuck LOL
Keep at the exercising (but don't try to overdo it though).. You will build up endurance with time.
Best of luck on your journey.. post often and give us lots of updates (pictures for the little one is always appreciated LOL)
Amanda...
Welcome to the board. Whie my baby is 13 I can relate to the getting tired while walking. Last summer I started walking, the road I wuld walk is a little hilly not bad but boy would it wind me out big time and just after a little while, but I kept at it, and it did get easier.now with the winter it was harder to walk, no sidewalks in the country. But I work retail and try and walk alot in the store, especially when cleaning up the registers or taking th claims back to theback of the store. I have lost almost 20lbs since Jan 8th and close to 25 since last year this time. My clothes are all big on me and I feel lots better.
Keep up the good work and I always say one day at a time.
Kim
PS I was also a single mom for a while, email me if you ever just want to chat or need to vent or need some motivation.
