Only have energy part of the day?

I only have energy to do things in the morning. If it doesn't get done then, it doesn't get done at all. Even if I have free time later in the day, I just can't seem to muster the energy to do things requiring energy (workout or clean the house). That's why I do my workouts in the morning, but it sure is making my house messier because I don't have the energy to clean later on. I assume it all has to do with being overweight, and I'm really hoping as I lose more weight I will gain energy. Anyone else?

Hi Kerri,
I'm definitely a morning person too. Maybe you're exercising too much and need to let yourself build up to it. I find that if I work out too hard when I'm not in a groove that I really wane in the afternoon. It makes me wonder if it's not a wash in terms of calories burned if I'm too lax later in the day. It's so easy to overdo it with too much enthusiasm. Good luck finding what works best for you.

30 minute power nap might help. I see great things written about it ... I just never have a chance to try it.

I am actually an evening person and get most of my stuff done in the evening. But I have days when I don't have the energy to do anything. Usually that happens when I don't get enough sleep the night before. Also you may not be eating enough during the day to keep your energy up.. do you eat protein & complex carbs at lunch?
But yeah generally speaking, when you lose more weight you gain more energy. And also I noticed that when I exercise more consistently, I have more energy
