Hi everyone. I am just wondering as Easter is almost over, how everyone did today? I know the chocolate is so tempting and yes I had a few pieces of it. But how did everyone else do? And what did everyone do for Easter? Me? DH and I went over to my parents and had a nice dinner with B-B-Q Beef sandwhiches, potatoe salad and baked beans. MMMMMMMMMM, It was GOOD!!!!!!!!!! My newphew got to hunt for easter eggs and we do our traditional (goes back to when my grandparents were young) Easter Egg Bash. DH or I didn't win but my sister did! Yay for her! Tomorrow is back to drinking lots of water and exercising for me!

It depends on your definition of "bad" LOL. We travelled on Friday morning to visit family, so basically Easter lasted Friday - Monday. We came back on Tuesday. I did have my share of chocolate. I did set aside some for me since Friday and nibbled on them, and I didn't get more. Still I didn't set aside 1-2, it was more than that LOL.

I had a few drinks on Sunday and ate a lot of meat with that. Then I volunteered to collect the dishes from around the house and scrap the leftovers in the trash.. so that stopped any after-meal eating. The funny thing is that everybody kept rooting for me because I was helping out. The truth is I was hiding (successfully!) the fact that I was a little drunk and was avoiding any duty with the actual washing of the dishes (UGG!)

When we returned Tuesday, I hid all candy. dh bought loads and loads of candy and I set them in bags in several places (each bag has one type of candy).

My family still makes me do the easter egg hunt. I'm getting married next year, and I'm hunting eggs with my 11 year old cousins!! So of course, that means I get overloaded with chocolate peices and chocolate eggs, and bunnies, and jelly beans and all the rest of it. The good news is I've put it all into a bag, and I eat one small peice (a foil covered egg or the like) a day to keep myself from going insane. It's better that I do that than completely snap and devour a whole cake in under 10 minutes (that'll be the day). Also, my fiance is Jewish, which means we had not only 3 easter dinners, but also a passover dinner to go to. And of course, my birthday is this weekend, which means CAKE X_X
Good work for everyone who managed to get through the holidays without going insane on all the readily available food!!

I did in fact partake in the Easter Candy, but I had been planning for it! I did well in the fact that any other year I would have bought Easter candy for the kids baskets early to get the good stuff, eaten it, and replaced a bag or two at least once by easter!!! Not to mention the cadburry eggs!! my weakness!! I knew they would be trouble and let myself know that there would indeed be one in my easter basket on easter morning that I could actually eat! It helped tremendously. So yes I had my egg, but Although it had held me off till easter, I am afraid an indulgence so extreme has got me wanting more. I had to dump the baskets off the counter since I was snitching at night. I have some nice rich dark chocolates I can have one with my afternoon coffee and it seems to be working. Chocolate is my crack! ;-) I have to find healthier ways to indulge.

Lyssa,
I must say that was so nice of your family to make a healthy meal. The B-B-Q beef sandwiches we had were from a cook book called Fix It and Forget It Lightly, they are slow cooker meals and it was good. So it's nice of our families to think of us like that.

Annie,
Wish I could have done as well as you on Easter Sunday. It's so hard for me to stay away from chocolate period that when it's a holiday you better believe I'll eat the stuff. I'm just going to have to listen to my friend Angie and put chocolate in the freezer and take one piece out at a time and wait till it's thawed out some. But I'm happy you were able to hold the temptation and you listened to your mind. Good for you!
