set up "mini goals" for youself... take "baby steps"
it is alot to swallow of you are trying to lose 100+ pounds.. IMO it is easier to try to lose 10 pounds and be successful than to try to lose 100... (i'm not sure if that sounded right but i hope you know what I mean)

as far as exercise goes... look at every daily activity as a chance to move more. for instance.. when I am outside with the kids.. rather than sit on a lawn chair and watch them play.. i play with them and i am on my feet more.

Turn all your negatives into positives and learn something from them.

Also, use the people who tell you you can't do it, to motivate you. Don't let them stop you from achieving your goal. Prove them wrong!

"Just keep swimming..." Dori, from Finding Nemo :)

She didn't give me the advice personally, but I've sort of adopted it as a motto.

Just do it.

I know this is a cheesy line, but it really had an impact on me when I took it to heart. I had to stop thinking about life changes and actually do them. Now rather than getting overwhelmed by what's in front of me, I just grab my shoes and start chipping away one step at a time.
