I had two major struggles with cravings this week.

On Wednesday night as I talked with my roommate, she was drinking a Mighty Lemon Drop (I love those!).

Mary

doesn't sound like cravings but temptations. big difference. sounds like you did well. when food is around like that pop in a piece of gum or sip a diet soda or better yet a big glass of water and by all means keep those hands busy somehow. if you are able get out of the room/house etc and go for a walk or find something else to distract yourself. you can do it. keep up the good work

Mary,

Congratulations on making good choices instead of caving in!

cravings are evil.... i substitute. like i love buttered popcorn with parmesan cheese.. oo yummy.. but instead i'll have plain pop corn with just some salt. (not like the bag stuff, the stove top pop corn). it's what i'm craving.. but a compromised version. it doesn't get easier.. seriously..

You did very well with your cravings! I'm so happy for you that you didn't give in. If I'm struggling with a craving, i find that brushing my teeth helps. Who wants to eat right after they brush their teeth?! LOL!

Mary,
Seems like your doing a good job on the cravings issue. Keep up the good work. For me, well, lately I've been craving pop as I have totally cut back so I will drink some water. It just seems to me that as long as I'm drinking healthy and eating healthy, I will be alright. Oh and also exercise. But I know it's hard. Keep at it though. -Susan

Hi Ladyirish
Congratulations on not letting the temptations win. You should feel great about yourself because you cared enough about you not to hurt yourself. That is great growth! I would like to make a suggestion about another way to deal with temptaions. When tempations hit ask yourself--- What am I feeling right now (your emotions of the moment) and--- Why am I feeling this emotion? Take the temptations and cravings, use them for self growth and in return you benefit by turning the reasons you eat into a path to self-growth which leads to self love. Let me know how it works for you ok
