The past few weeks have progressively been getting worse for me in terms of food...my exercise is still going pretty well - I am working on exercising at least 5 days a week and I think in the past 3 months I've only had one week where that's fallen to 4 days a week. But food is another story...when I was away at the Ranch it was easy because everything was prepared for me - I just chose what would fit into my program and I didn't have to do any of the shopping, preparation, cooking or cleaning up! Isn't that the life?

Anyway, I've discovered that I'm too much of an impulse shopper. I'll buy something that's not such a great choice because I'm having people over or some other such excuse and then eat it all before they get there! And the 7 - 10 days have been the worst...too much chocolate, too many refined sugars, and my portion sizes have gotten way out of control.

So today I decided that it's time I invested in doing something that will help me better keep that in control. I'm going to have meals delivered to my home 5 days a week. 3 meals and 2 snacks a day, approximately 1500 calories, 40% carb, 30% protein and 30% fat. It's basically The Zone plan - or the Atkins maintenance plan - but it's also the basic breakdown that my nutritionist gave me. My hope is that by doing this I will stop the impulse buying when I'm at the grocery store, and I'll eat more balanced meals because I'm not having to cook them! LOL I'm going to try it for 4 weeks to start and see how it goes. I'll keep you all updated!

Kelly,
Meals delivered? That is my idea of heaven...

Looking forward to hearing how this works out.
