I am so disgusted with the way I look!!! I am in such a rush to lose weight. And yes I understand it takes time but god, even if I could just go back to being my pre-preggo weight I'd be happy with that! I was heavy then too but I am just soooo sick of all this weight! I feel disgusting. My goal is to look "normal" before I go back to work.. and I want to start walking, but I don't know how to go about that when tehre are so many bugs outside and I can't put anything on the baby. Any ideas on what I can do in the mean time??


Was just lurking here and read your post. It hit home to me because 1) I had a baby in Feb and 2) Because I love to walk, lol..
I do the Walk Away the Pounds workouts and have been for a couple of years now. With 5 kids it's the easiest thing for me and I love it so much. You can walk in the privacy of your own home and anytime you want to do it!
CONGRATS on the new baby! I had Ben on Feb 19th and started doing my walking program again about 4 weeks later. I wanted to do it right away but I was too sore and just too tired out!

She has walking workouts (vcr or dvd) and she does a series of steps(very easy) and you walk to the pace of the music.. She has 1, 2, 3 & 4 mile workouts, and she has a 5 mile as well.
When I started off I was pretty heavy and could only get through about a mile, then I worked up to the 2 mile and so on..
I like it because I can even hold Ben if he is being a little fussy and he likes the walking movement.
I know Sue does it from here too so she might have more to add. I highly recommend it, it's a great program!
Another suggestion, have you tried mall walking? I love to walk inside malls, the AC is on and the floors are smooth to walk with a stroller (actually my son doesn't use a stroller anymore, but it was perfect back then)
One more thing, stop all that negative talk about how you look. Put on some nice clothes, do your hair and wear makeup (if that's your thing). Feel good about yourself and about your body.. when you love yourself it's easier to take care of yourself :) and besides YOU JUST HAD A BABY!!
