A few times last week there were times when I was interacting with someone and thought "Boy, if you only KNEW how challenging it is to lose this much weight" or "You don't have a CLUE about what it's like to be significantly overweight!"

That it isn't just about "WILLPOWER".
Trim people who exemplify healthy lifestyles are incredibly motivating!

Saying things like , "For a fat woman you are still attractive." does not make me feel good about myself.
Emailing me a link to the Atkins site will not be considered helpful by me, but intrusive.
Starting any statement with , "If you would just lose 50 pounds...." automatically makes me feel inadequate.
It's wrong to make the assumption that I'm uneducated because I'm obese.
Big people have feelings too.
Big people can read expressions. When you walk into a restaurant or a store and a person makes a disgusted face while looking you up and down a big person pretty much knows what you are thinking.
It's okay to sit next to us, we won't eat you.
We don't need your help to feel shame, we are all experts at the art already.
Hands down ... the best retort I've heard in years .... I'm content just to have that one play in my head! But in fact ... I may just say that one out loud!
