I applied for financial aid to go back to school to become a nurse.

Yeah I truly do hate having all this education debt, but I don't worry about it too much because I know in the end that I'll get to where I need to be to pay it off and be done with it.

are you sure that wasn't the process of going about finding out if you are an independent sudent or not??? the fafsa app doesnt ask you anything like that....how old are you?? i think to be considered independent you should be 24 but don't quote me on that

i was working full time and still got enough in loans to cover all of my tuition plus some ... so you shouldn't have any problem getting money to help you go back to school

even if it is loans ... they give you until 6 months after you graduate to start paying those back ... which if you're becoming a nurse you should have NO problem getting employment after graduation granted you pass your boards :)

i say go for it and go back to school :]

Unfortunately, our assistance programs are set up to take care of the people who can or will do nothing to provide for themselves, and withdraw benefits from people who are trying to support themselves.

I have the same problem with my daughter.
