OK, I just need to say "ditto" to what SJ said. (thanks SJ!!!) It's a pretty good summary of my journey as well except my starting weight was 294. I got down to 224 last Wednesday, but put on 4 pounds while visiting my family over the weekend. I have 2 of the 4 off, so my total weight loss at this point is 68 pounds.
Definitely small, measurable, physical goals. I started with 15 minutes a day, 3 days a week and worked up. In the beginning, it was not natural or easy to start exercising, and now it's not an option. 5 days a week, minumum of 30 minutes a day. I usually end up with 45 to 60 minutes.
Just start. If you can only get in a 10 minute walk, it's better than no walk.

Thanks again everyone for all of your advice and support!
I am going to try to set some small goals for the coming week regarding exercise. We'll see how that goes and I'll keep you posted!
I turn 30 in June --- with a little hard work and self motivation, maybe I can get to where I want to be by then. We'll see!
