This is a 'Ruby' inspired question - I was watching episodes this weekend (not the most current one, but I don't know if it was this season or last that I was wathcing when this came up).

I used to eat A LOT. Lets say that a typical dinner would be Baked pork chops, mac & cheese, and creamed corn. For dinner, I would have 3 pork chops, probably 2-3 big spoonfuls, and probably half the can of corn. Then I would go for seconds!

That's pretty much my issue too.

Interesting question, SJ!

For me, I think that most of what I eat is the right stuff and the right amount.

Penny,

I agree with you on fast food - I am older than most people on the board, and my mom always made dinners at home - meat, potato, fresh vegetables(except Wednesday was Prince Spaghetti day!).

These are my junk food definitions....

Chips are definitely junk to me - they are my biggest weakness but always junk.

Hmmmm, I don't think I eat a lot....but according to what I've read I'd need to eat like 3500 calories a day to maintain my current weight.....and I've been maintainin for years so .....I guess It's more than normal.

I do know though that I started gaining weight when we got busier and started eating fast food more.....so while a fast food meal may seem like a normal portion, it's so high in calories that it's equivalent to eating double what you would at home....KWIM? And now when I start looking up some of the things I used to eat....I'm shocked at the calorie content of them.

So for me, I think it's that I eat the wrong things....and maybe slightly larger portions than I should be.
