Can anyone please give me a few pointers on how to get my ticker to show up instead of a link! I currently copied and pasted the HTML link and then have the settings set to use HTML codes.

Thanks SJ for the comments and suggestions! I am starting a food journal and hey why not an exercise or mile journal as of right now TODAY!! I will have to put some thought into non food based rewards. I set my first goal for 30 pounds so that will get me down to 300.

I think eating the same breakfast and lunch every day is a good idea - that is what I do during the week, with a little variety in what I use in my salad at lunchtime. It takes the thought out of it, which makes it less work, and it leaves less room for cheating up a few calories at a time.

MC- Im at my heaviest weight now. I havent weighed myself since April 1st. I am trying to only weigh myself on the scale that I weigh in at the dr. I go again this thursday and am hoping to have lost a couple pounds. I think and this is just my opioniion that as we get older its harder to loose weight because our metabolism is slower than as teenagers. I have a difficult time counting calories so I am relying on writing down what I am eating and watching my portions. I tried seeing a dietician and even with her help I still couldn't count the calories! LOL!!! So she suggested just going by portion size like a portion of chicked being the size of the palm of your hand and meat the size of a deck of cards. I measure things with a measuring cup also when im eating at home like cottage cheese or my brown rice. It seems to help me see what I am eating and I ask for a togo container now right away should I eat out and seperate my portions! I think if we all just keep at this and plug away then we can get to a healthier size. I don't have a goal weight in mind although under 300 would be awesome and is my first goal! I just want to be healthier in general and off my diabetes medicine and high blood pressure meds to.

Good Luck Mc! I can't wait to read your updates!
