I know the recommended weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week but to meet my goal weight by Labor Day I need to lose about 4 lbs a week. I am going on vacation. I am on WW and exercise regularly Zumba and weights so I'm not in anyway going to starve myself I will stay within my point range in WW.
Please don't take this the wrong way...it's just my opinion.
I thnk setting any 'pounds per week' goal is unrealistic and sets you up for failure and disapppointment. (the 'you' is the universal EVERYONE, not you specifically)
This is such a hard thing to do, and if you say - I want to lose four pounds a week, and you lose three - did you fail?
Taking your original question and the other responses you've received into account, I can only add that while it is a do-able thing, it won't be easy, and I have to agree that if you would feel discouraged by only losing 3 lbs. in spite of trying very hard, it might be counter-productive to set such an aggressive expectation.
